The Grotto Is Listening and the Community Is Ready

The Grotto Is Listening and the Community Is Ready

When you’re building something entirely new, especially something as personal and creative as The Grotto, you hold your breath a little.

Will people understand what we’re trying to do?
Will it matter?

Over the last few weeks, we’ve gotten a loud and clear answer from the community: yes. It matters. And yes, it’s needed.

A Poll That Turned into a Movement

Quietly and without fanfare, we posted a community poll asking: What kind of art classes would you actually show up for? What days and times work for you? Do you want to come alone, with a friend, or as a group?

The results were beyond what we expected:

  • Over 25,000 people have already seen our poll request
  • Over 12,000 engaged with it
  • 561 clicked to learn more
  • 67 gave us detailed, thoughtful responses
  • And more than a dozen people left public comments filled with encouragement, excitement, and gratitude

The poll wasn’t some broad market study. It was real people from our own backyard, telling us what would get them in the car, through the door, and into the studio.

We’re not guessing what people want, we asked. And now, we’re building the space around the answers.

Calling All Artists: This Is for You

We understand the uncertainty that comes with teaching art. Will anyone sign up? Should I offer evenings or weekends? Will people even want what I love to teach?

At The Grotto, we’ve taken the guesswork out of it.

Our classroom and creative spaces have been shaped by real community data and open-hearted responses. If you’re an artist with a skill to share, the demand is already there. You’re walking into a place that’s pre-warmed by curiosity and excitement.

Better yet? As a member, you receive three complimentary teaching hours each month, included in your plan. We can also help you fill the seats, structure your offering, and map out your marketing. Between the two of us (Steve and Linnette), we bring decades of experience in creative business, community engagement, and strategic planning.

The Grotto isn’t just a classroom, it’s a launchpad.

Construction Update: Walls Are Going Up, Energy Is Pouring In

The space itself is taking shape beautifully. The dry-in phase is nearly complete, with the roof, doors, and windows being installed soon. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work are right behind.

We’ve already started hosting private hard-hat tours, and our very first member is officially signed. There’s something powerful about watching someone step into a space that didn’t exist weeks ago and immediately say, “Yes. I belong here.”

That’s the magic we’re chasing, and that’s what we want to offer to every artist and creative in the area.

You’re Invited: Visit Us in Person

We believe in face-to-face, real-world connections. So here’s our invitation:

Schedule a tour. Meet us. Tell us what you love to create, what your dream class would look like, and what kind of community you’ve been craving.

We’re not just renting rooms. We’re building something richer, a collaborative space where creative people can grow, thrive, and earn without commissions, gatekeepers, or burnout.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign that it’s your time to step forward and teach, make, or finally say yes to the thing you’ve always wanted to do, this is it.
